Renovation Zone

We did not really plan to live in a renovation zone. It happened upon us because the houses we liked were generally ones that were not already updated by someone else. So it was either live in a renovation zone or rent an apartment and work on the house at a break neck speed. We opted for the first for many reasons. Consequently, we spend a lot of time moving furniture from room to room as we demo and rebuild, vacuuming up piles of dust at the end of every work day, and enjoying stud walls sans drywall. Our dining room also functions as a paint station, which honestly, I couldn’t really think of a better use for the room. We have grand plans - in our minds’ eyes our house already looks like those grand plans - so ask us about them and we will be happy to divulge. Of course, one day we hope for it to be done so that everyone can see our vision, but until that day, cheers to living in the reno zone.
